Affiliate Disclosure

Some of the links you’ll find on Helen in Wonderlust are affiliate links. This means that if you click on one of these links and make a booking or purchase, I may receive a small commission – at no additional cost to you.

These commissions help towards the costs of running Helen in Wonderlust and allow me to continue creating detailed, free travel guides based on my travels and experiences around the world. So, if you do book something through one of my links, thank you – I really appreciate your support!

How Affiliate Links Work

When I link to things such as hotels, tours, activities, travel insurance or other travel products and services, some of those links may be affiliate links.

If you click through and make a booking or purchase, the company may pay me a small percentage of the sale.

The price you pay is normally the same whether you use my affiliate link or go directly to the website. In some cases, you may even have access to a special offer or discount.

My Recommendations

I’ve been travelling independently for many years and writing Helen in Wonderlust since 2013, and keeping your trust is incredibly important to me.

Where I personally recommend a hotel, tour, activity, destination or product, it’s because I genuinely think it’s worth recommending based on my own experience or research – not simply because an affiliate programme is available.

Where possible, I try to share my own experiences, including the things I loved as well as anything I think you should know before booking.

Not everything I link to will be something I have personally tried. Sometimes I may include alternative hotels, tours or activities that I think could be useful when planning your trip. Where that’s the case, I won’t pretend that I’ve personally experienced them.

Hosted Trips & Complimentary Experiences

From time to time, I’m invited on press trips or provided with complimentary accommodation, tours, activities or other travel experiences.

When this happens, I will disclose it within the relevant post.

Being hosted does not guarantee positive coverage. The opinions and experiences I share on Helen in Wonderlust are my own, regardless of whether I paid for an experience myself or was invited as a guest.

Affiliate Partnerships

Helen in Wonderlust works with a number of travel brands and affiliate networks.

These may change over time, but can include companies that allow you to book accommodation, tours, activities, transport and other travel services.

You may therefore see affiliate links throughout my travel guides where I think they are genuinely useful and relevant to planning your trip.

Do Affiliate Links Cost You More?

No. You won’t be charged an additional fee for using one of my affiliate links.

If you choose to book through one, I may simply receive a commission from the company as a referral fee.
